Quick answer
Display the Summer's Colors Are All Drawn Figurine in a bright spot with soft natural light to highlight its hand-painted details. Pair it with neutral or pastel accents to let the fairy and her mushroom scene take center stage.
Why placement matters for unbleached porcelain
This figurine is crafted from unbleached porcelain, which has a warm, off-white tone. Direct sunlight can cause fading over time, so choose a spot with indirect light to preserve the soft earthy colors. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in high-humidity areas like bathrooms.
Avoiding visual clutter with a single focal piece
Because the figurine measures only 5 inches tall, it can get lost among larger decor. Give it breathing room on a small shelf or a dedicated corner of a mantel. Grouping it with other small seasonal items works, but keep the arrangement sparse so the fairy and butterfly remain the focal point.
How to display the Summer's Colors Are All Drawn Figurine
- Choose a well-lit but indirect spot: Place the figurine near a north-facing window or on a shelf with ambient room light. This prevents fading while still making the hand-painted details visible. A common mistake is placing it in direct sun—this can dull the soft paint over time.
- Use a neutral or pastel backdrop: Set the figurine against a white, cream, or pale blue wall. A busy or dark background will compete with the delicate toadstool and butterfly. Try a small mirrored tray or light wood stand to lift the piece without adding color clutter.
- Rotate with the season: Keep this piece out during spring and summer months, then store it in a padded box during fall and winter. Rotating seasonal figurines keeps your display fresh and reduces dust buildup. Store in a cool, dry place away from attic heat or basement dampness.
