How to Clean and Care for a Snow Globe

Quick answer

Clean your snow globe by dusting the glass with a soft, dry cloth and wiping the base with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid submerging or shaking the globe, and never use harsh cleaners.

Step-by-step snow globe care

1. Dust the glass first: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a clean makeup brush to gently remove dust from the glass dome. Work in circular motions to avoid streaks. Do not use compressed air—it can force dust into the seal.
2. Wipe the base with a damp cloth: Dampen a soft cloth with plain water (no soap or cleaner) and wring it out until barely moist. Gently wipe the base, avoiding any seams or the wind-up key area. Never spray liquid directly onto the globe. Moisture can seep into the seal and cloud the water.
3. Dry immediately and buff: Use a separate dry microfiber cloth to buff the glass and base until they are completely dry. This prevents water spots and keeps the finish shiny. If the glass still looks cloudy, a tiny dab of white vinegar on a cloth can be used—but only on the glass, not the base.

• Let Heaven And Nature Sing Snow Globe: The Let Heaven And Nature Sing Snow Globe winds up to play “Joy to the World” and features a cardinal couple beneath heart-shaped branches. Because it has a musical mechanism, you should avoid moisture near the wind-up key and never shake the globe, which could dislodge the internal components.
